2. Essential Characteristics of the Service
Ride Assignment is a web-based software service for organizing group transportation and event-related rides. The service allows users to:
- create organizations and event workspaces;
- manage drivers, passengers, contact details, and addresses;
- calculate route assignments and optimization results;
- export route plans for operational use;
- manage subscriptions and billing for paid plans.
3. Technical Steps to Conclude the Contract
The contract for a paid plan is concluded in the following steps:
- The customer creates or logs into a Ride Assignment account.
- The customer selects a paid plan within the application.
- The customer is redirected to the Stripe checkout page.
- The customer reviews the selected plan, billing interval, total price, and the relevant legal texts.
- Where the digital service is to start immediately, the checkout process separately collects the consumer's express request for performance to begin before the withdrawal period ends together with the legally required acknowledgement.
- The customer submits the binding order using the Stripe checkout action intended for a payment obligation.
- After successful payment authorization, the subscription is activated. The consumer then receives a contract confirmation on a durable medium, usually by email, containing the contract content including these legal texts.
Where an organization processes third-party personal data in a workspace, acceptance of the Data Processing Addendum is additionally required.
4. Means to Detect and Correct Input Errors
Before placing the binding order, the customer can review and correct entered billing and payment details in the checkout flow. The customer can also cancel the checkout process at any time before the order is submitted.
5. Contract Text and Order Documentation
Unless Pablo Thiermann expressly provides a separate archive in the customer account, the contract text is not stored in the customer account as one standalone document.
After the contract is concluded, however, the consumer receives a contract confirmation on a durable medium, for example by email, reproducing the contract content including these legal texts. Invoices and billing history may additionally be available in the customer account or through Stripe.
6. Contract Language
The contract is concluded exclusively in German.
7. Prices, Payment, Renewal, and Term
The current prices for paid plans are displayed in the application before the order is placed.
For the currently implemented billing model:
- paid plans are subscription-based;
- the paid subscription is concluded for an indefinite period;
- billing takes place monthly in advance unless another billing interval is shown during checkout;
- payment processing is handled by Stripe;
- you may cancel the subscription at any time with effect at the end of the current billing period;
- cancellation is handled through the billing portal made available in the application or another cancellation method provided by Pablo Thiermann;
- payment method updates are handled through the billing portal made available in the application or via Stripe.
Where the digital service is to be provided before the withdrawal period expires, checkout separately collects the consumer's express request and the legally required confirmations for that early start.
Any applicable taxes and the total price are shown before the binding order is placed.
Withdrawal may be declared using the methods described in the withdrawal information.
8. Functionality, Compatibility, and Interoperability
Ride Assignment is a browser-based application. The service requires:
- a current web browser from the supported browser group: the current stable versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile devices;
- an internet connection;
- JavaScript and cookies enabled for login and session handling;
- the technical minimum requirements described here: a TLS-capable device with JavaScript and cookies enabled, a stable internet connection, WebGL support for the interactive map display, and the ability to download PDF and spreadsheet exports in the browser. Internet Explorer, embedded in-app browsers, and browsers that no longer receive security updates are not supported.
Core functions depend on third-party technical services, including Supabase for authentication and database functions, Stripe for billing, and Mapbox for address, routing, and map functions. Google services are used for optional Google sign-in and user-initiated Google Maps route links.
9. Complaint Handling and Consumer Dispute Resolution
Complaints can be sent to support@ride-assign.com or by post to Hollandstraße 11, 80805 München.
Pablo Thiermann is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
As of 20 July 2025, the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform has been discontinued. For that reason, no ODR platform link is provided here.
10. Statutory Warranty and Consumer Rights
Consumers are entitled to the statutory rights for digital products and services. These rights are not limited by the Terms of Service.
Where a right of withdrawal exists, the details are provided separately in the Withdrawal Information.
