Note: The German version of this document is the legally binding version. This English text is provided for convenience only.
Last updated: May 14, 2026
This notice is for persons whose data is processed in Ride Assignment by an organization, such as drivers, passengers, event participants, volunteers, or contact persons.
1. Who Operates Ride Assignment
Ride Assignment is operated by Pablo Thiermann, Hollandstraße 11, 80805 München, email support@ride-assign.com.
Pablo Thiermann provides the technical platform. Where an organization enters or imports your data into Ride Assignment, that organization is generally responsible for the specific transport or event purpose.
2. Who Is Responsible for Your Data
For workspace content such as driver, passenger, event, address, route, contact, import, export, and note data, the organization that uses Ride Assignment and entered your data is usually responsible.
Pablo Thiermann generally processes this workspace content as processor on instructions of that organization. Please contact the organization first if you have questions about the specific ride, event, legal basis, deletion, or correction of your data.
Pablo Thiermann is separately controller for its own purposes such as website operation, account administration, security, billing, support, and legal documentation.
3. Data That May Be Processed
Depending on the organization's use, the following data may be processed:
- name, email address, phone number, and group assignment;
- start address, destination, pickup point, coordinates, and route information;
- availability times, arrival times, seat capacity, driver or passenger role, and assignments;
- operational notes, import fields, external roster IDs, and export data;
- special need or accessibility information where the organization records such information;
- technical log, security, and usage data where required for the service.
Please do not enter medical diagnoses or unnecessary sensitive information. Where special information is needed for safe transportation, the organization should process only the information actually required.
4. Purposes of Processing
Workspace data is typically used to plan group transportation, coordinate drivers and passengers, calculate addresses and routes, suggest assignments, export operational and route plans, and carry out the event.
Ride Assignment generates planning and assignment suggestions. Final operational decisions should remain with the responsible organization or a responsible person.
5. Service Providers and Recipients
Technical functions may rely on service providers, in particular for hosting, authentication, database, maps, geocoding, routing, email delivery, billing, consent-based analytics, and security.
Depending on the feature, data may be disclosed in particular to Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Mapbox, PostHog, Amazon SES, Photon geocoding providers, Route Solver or Valhalla infrastructure, Google services, and Cloudflare. The current list is described in the Subprocessors and Key Recipients list.
If Google Maps route links are opened, route or location data may be transmitted to Google. Google processes that data under its own terms.
6. Retention
The organization decides how long workspace data is needed for the relevant transport or event purpose. In Ride Assignment, workspace data generally remains stored until the organization deletes it, the workspace is deleted, or another documented retention event applies.
Billing, security, consent, audit, and legal records may be retained longer with minimized identifiers where required.
7. Your Rights
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent.
If your data was entered into Ride Assignment by an organization, please contact that organization first. Pablo Thiermann may assist the organization or forward requests where legally required or contractually provided.
